The Experience Economy

Seth Godin's been writing about 'security theatre' - his example is that complex charade we
go through at airports, but his point is straight out of the experience economy.

We must go beyond 'serving' our customers. We need to satisfy them, and sometimes this means going beyond their expectations to leave a lasting impression. Increasing the value they experience is part of this.
